WHAT IS THE LEGENDARY LEGACY OF ADIZERO ADIOS PRO?
Adizero entered the world with an ambition to build on the running legacy already established by the adidas family, and set a precedent in competitive world racing that would inspire athletes to run further and faster than ever before. In 2008, Haile Gebrselassie introduced the world to Adios Pro 1, when he shattered his own world record to become the first person to break the 2:04hr barrier. Since that day, Adizero has helped some of the world’s best runners achieve many more world records – including in marathon and half marathon distances. The Adizero range has been developed alongside the world’s fastest runners to continuously improve, and deliver elite performances. With the latest technology, Adizero helps every athlete set their sights higher and run after new records.
WHAT ARE ENERGYRODS 2.0?
An updated structural system, ENERGYRODS 2.0 have been engineered to mirror the metatarsal bones of an athlete’s foot. Fine-tuned carbon infused rods are designed to create a more anatomically-driven transition, by adding an extra layer of support and stability. The goal behind this holistic system is to allow runners to run as fast as possible, by delivering dynamic flexibility and increased stiffness in the toe-off for a feeling of snappy responsiveness. This activates the larger muscles used in running, with the intention of enabling athletes to expend less energy with better results. Found in our racing shoes, Adizero Adios Pro 3, Prime X 2 Strung and Takumi Sen 10, as well as our fast Boston 12 trainer, ENERGYRODS are designed to deliver elite racing performances.
WHAT IS LIGHTSTRIKE PRO?
When it comes to marathon shoes, every gramme counts. That’s precisely why the new LIGHTSTRIKE PRO midsole is even lighter than the previous iteration. The revamped construction of this comfortable, super lightweight midsole features two layers of foam and resilient cushioning, designed to limit energy loss. When used in combination with ENERGYRODS in our pinnacle runners, this new and improved foam composition has extra absorbent properties, designed to compress the exerted energy and return it back to the runner. In our training models, this technology is engineered to support athletes’ muscles so they can recover even faster between races.
